Several theatre festivals have been held in Estonia. "Monomaffia" differs from other Estonian theater festivals in that it focuses on the actor as the main point of interest without which the play could not take place.
Monologue plays allow for an intimate and special connection between actor and audience. Since the actor is on stage without a partner, audience participation becomes especially important in creating synergy. It is impossible for the actor to hide behind anything. The focus of everyone’s attention is upon the actor and every detail through which the actor’s role evolves and the story unfolds.
